¹⁶ They lived in Gilead, in Bashan and in its towns, and in all the pasture lands of ^(A)Sharon, as far as their ^[a]borders. ¹⁷ All of these were recorded in the genealogies in the days of ^(B)Jotham king of Judah and in the days of ^(C)Jeroboam king of Israel.

¹⁸ The sons of Reuben and the Gadites and the half-tribe of Manasseh, consisting of men of valor, men who bore shield and sword and shot with bow and were learned in the ways of battle, were 44,760, who ^(D)went out for military duty.
